Why does facial hair change at Menopause?
The story of unwanted facial hair is about the relationship between the levels of estrogen and testosterone. When estrogen levels are high, a woman's face has very fine, short and almost invisible down hairs. Growth of facial hair during menopause is typically caused by a decrease in estrogen and an increase in the ratio of testosterone to estrogen. This increase in facial hair is very bothersome and one of the frustrations to most women going through this hormonal change.

Since I'm pregnant, why is the hair on my face and body growing out of control?
The answer is because of an increase in the production of various hormones such as estrogen and progesterone just to name a few.
I had electrolysis treatments when I was in my 20's. I'm in my thirties and finally pregnant, but suddenly notice new facial hair. Can I receive electrolysis treatments?
Yes, you can have electrolysis, but many electrologists require a letter from your health care provider authorizing treatment during pregnancy.
